Luminale 2010 – Bahnhof Zoo

Von Sonntag 11. bis Freitag 16. April 2010 fand in Frankfurt und Rhein/Main Umgebung die Luminale statt. Aus diesem Anlass durften wir als Kurs verschiedene Installationen am Mainzer und Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof umsetzen. Gemeinsam mit Daniel Mauthe, Claudia Cress und Julian von Hopffgarten arbeitete ich am Bahnhof Zoo Projekt. Überdimensionale Lebewesen auf der Fassade des Frankfurter Hauptbahnhofs … Betreut wurde das ganze von Prof. Tjark Ihmels der uns in jeglicher Hinsicht unterstützt hat.
Gefördert wurde die Arbeit durch die Nachwuchsmedienförderung Rheinland-Pfalz.
Bei der Werkschau der FH Mainz im Juli 2010 erhielt der Luminale Kurs den ersten Preis im Bereich Interaktion.

Ich habs gut, Musikvideo (2008)

Bei der Diplomarbeit von Milli Brück (Regie) an der FH Mainz durfte ich als Regieassistent eine interessante Rolle übernehmen. Im Sommer 2008 entstand das Musikvideo für die Rapper RNZO und Cris feat. TheOne aus Mainz. Kameramann war Joscha Brück, gedreht wurde auf der Red One. Das Projekt liegt schon eine Weile zurück aber ich erinnere mich an eine spannende Zeit mit Höhen und Tiefen, viel Spaß am Set, Breakdancern, Sprayern, Top Catering, eine defekte Red Kamera, Nachdreh und an ein tolles Team!

Das Video ist als Beitrag zu einem Wettbewerb des Bundesverkehrs ministeriums entstanden. Das Team: Julian Hermann(Idee, Script, Produktion), Manfred Baulig (Regie, Kamera), Jan Ramroth (Produktion, Kamera). Die Idee: Zwei Freunde fahren von klein auf Rennen gegeneinander, kein Happy End. Die fünfstellige Siegerprämie konnten wir leider nicht einstreichen, jedoch zählten wir zu den Top 10 des Wettbewerbs und wurden auf einer DVD sowie im Internet veröffentlicht. As a contribution for the international video-contest of the company ‘Webasto’ with the title ‘feel the heat’. The enterprisy builds auxiliary heatings, which was also the issue of the contest. It wasn’t easy to freeze a windshield at about +13° Celsius. With two good friends, Juilian Hermann and Manfred Baulig, we realized the idea of a self made auxiliary heating. At the end we won the second price of the competition and earned some money with it.

Don’t ask me what was my motivation for that piece of work. I think I like timelapse sequences and grilels chickens. So I put one into the oven and captured the process with my digital camera. The footage was so frightening, that I had to put some sound and animation. And see what happened! That short emerged as homework for a digital animation course during the second semester where we had to experience with analogue animation techniques. One afternoon we filmed the battle of vegetables on the desk of a fellow student. That fast an spontaneous way of filmmaking is very much fun. When I came to Israel my friends asked me, if I’m doing a blog or a website. I said no, i don’t have a blog. No time, no idea, to lazy… Now since i’m in Jerusalem for more than one month nobody is asking me about the blog. So, see what happened. Here it is.

I’m not sure wheather i write in german or english, maybe i’ll switch from time to time. It won’t be a diary, not updated every day, not written in hebrew.

I start the blog with this video I shot out of the bus nr 19 while going to the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem where i’m actually spending my exchange semester. It’s better than words to imagine how people and surroundings look like. “Presenting your 3000 year old dream. CENTRAL JERUSALEM” (find this sentence in the video)
